VL11: Refuge in Christ

All of the Bible is about Jesus Christ, the Old Testament as well as the New Testament. If you read the Bible and don’t see Jesus, you have misread it. Joshua is a book of history, but it is much more: it is HIS STORY. Today’s text talks about cities of refuge for the Israelites, and in the same way Jesus Christ is a refuge for us today. Notice three aspects of the cities of refuge and how they teach us more about Christ.
