Sometimes these parables are called the Pearl of Parables. There is a common theme through each of them. We all have experienced losing something or being lost ourselves. There is joy when we find what’s lost. That’s how God feels about lost people, which is why these parables can aptly be described as the Gospel within the Gospels.
