Walking with Wisdom 1: Seeking Wisdom

Jan 12, 2025    Garrett Marshall

When I reflect on all the people I know, I often ask myself: Who is the wisest? Whom do I turn to for advice and counsel? Whose words carry the most weight with me? One interesting realization I've had is that those I consider the wisest aren’t always the most educated, the most book-smart, or even the most experienced. More often than not, the wisest people are those who genuinely want the best for me. It might seem selfish to consider that a key factor, but I think we can all agree that the people we seek wisdom from the most are the ones who truly care about us and who apply their knowledge to help us find a good solution.

This principle becomes even more profound when we think about our relationship with God. Who cares more about our well-being than our Heavenly Father? Who is looking out for us more than our Creator? So why is it that some of us rarely turn to God for counsel, but instead turn to self-help books or talk show hosts? Join in as we begin our journey toward remedying this gap, as we start on the path of seeking the wisdom of God.
