MTAF 8: OUR ANGER
When I reflect on my 30 years here on Earth, I recognize many moments that I regret. Many of these stem from not thinking before I spoke, cracking a joke at the wrong time, or making decisions that seemed beneficial in the short term but ultimately caused harm. However, the moments I regret most are those when I acted out of anger. This is likely a common experience among humans: when we are at our angriest, we are often most prone to saying or doing things we later regret.
While the Bible warns against anger, our study of God’s anger reveals that there is a place for righteous anger. God’s anger is just, and His people should also experience righteous anger. But what distinguishes righteous anger from sinful anger? How can we identify it? How can we use anger appropriately? These are the questions we will explore this morning through His Word.
